This newsletter will become a monthly production starting with this issue. It will be published the last Friday of each month. I actually try to get it on line Thursday evenings. There just does not seem to be enough interest to justify the the effort required to do it each week.

The RockComp Members Lounge is back up again but I do not know for how long. I am still having problems communicating with the host. I hope that I do not have to find a new host so will wait and see. I will get a new host if necessary.

Hi, (Friday, 6/19)

We have been in Eagan, MN visiting our new grandson, Zachary Joel, who was born on May 29. Harv fell while here and had to be taken to United Hospital in St. Paul, MN on June 5 with a brain bleed. He started having trouble breathing while they were taking a CT scan. He has been on a ventilator for most of two weeks now but they took him off of it today. He needs to keep breathing good enough and coughing up the secretions okay. He will be here in the hospital and in a rehab facility for a while before he will be strong enough to go back home to Central City, NE.

Also, we have sold our home in Central City and bought a townhouse about a half mile away. We will be moving between July 15 and 20 so have a lot to do. I will probably have to go home and move and leave him here in MN under our daughter's care.

Hope the rest of you are doing better than we are at the moment.

The weather in Omaha feels like Arizona. Tuesday afternoon the temperature reached 103° before a storm came through and lowered the temperature. The humidity was so high that the weather bureau said the the heat index was 115°. I was scheduled to play golf with Joe Burkardt, space 534, Tuesday but I cancelled because it was too hot. We don't usually have such high temperatures in Omaha until late July. Needless to say, the air conditioners are getting a work out.
Believe it or not, but the gas prices went down this week. They were at a summer high of $2.55.9 until Monday when they went down to $2.47.9. I hope they keep going down.
Chuck I don't know how you enjoy watching the Diamondbacks playing as bad as they are this year? I hope you watched the college world series this week in Omaha. All of the games were close and some great baseball was played despite playing in such hot weather. I was sorry to see Arizona get beat and eliminated.

No, Fred, the weather in Omaha has high humidity while Arizona is dry. Our heat index actually goes down rather than up. Wednesday was our hottest day of the year here in the Prescott area. The temperature on the thermometer reached 93° but the heat index was
87°. It is a dry heat. The humidity does go up during our Monsoon. The Monsoon season officially started June 15th but no storms yet. Rain is forecasted for Friday through the week end.

The price of gasoline at Costco in Prescott is $2.33. The price increased 2 cents this past week but still lower than most places.

The Diamondbacks have now won 30 games and lost 42 games for a .417 average. They are now seventeen games out of first place and in last place in the National League West. Only the Washington Nationals have a lower average in all of Major League Baseball.
