Just got the news from Arva and she said to put this in the
newsletter about Joe.
Joe Kvam was taken to the hospital in
Arizona with kidney failure. He underwent dialysis to clean out his
blood and is now back home in Arizona and going to dialysis 3 times a
week. He hopes to head back to Wisconsin about the 15 of May and
continue his treatments there but Arva was not sure.
Joe will turn 80 on May 14 so if some of you would like to send him a
card after May 15 his address will be :
S2428 Highway 95, Arcadia, WI 54612. Until then he will still be in
Apache Junction. Joe can really use some encouragement about now so
let's send him a note.

If you take a look at the following picture , let me tell you .....
It is not animated.
Your eyes are making it move. To test this, stare at one spot for
a couple seconds and everything will stop moving. Or look at the black
center of each circle and it will stop moving. But move your eyes to the
next black center and the previous will move after you take your eyes
away from it... Weird

Chocolate Calculator |
Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood
anyway-but the Hershey Man will know!
YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH
This is pretty neat.
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read .
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would
like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4.. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759 ..If you
haven't, add 1758.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number. The first digit of this was
your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2009) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT
AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

News from Prescott
Valley |
Not much new from here. The temps are now
in the 80s making it real nice for top down and dinners on the patio.
How about the optical illusion? Makes your eyes hurt doesn't it?
Although not a Computer Club member, I think most people know Joe. He is
always helping out someplace, breakfast, Bingo popcorn, Bazaar lunches,
etc. Send him a card. Help cheer him up. |

The
Diamondbacks are still struggling. They lost three games to Los Angeles.
Won one and lost one to San Diego. It looks like the manager may be on
thin ice. They have now won 12 games and lost 17 games for a .414
average. One of the lowest in the National League. They are next to last ahead of Colorado in the National League
West. Nine games out of first place.
