I was asked by Katie in her e-mail how to save things such as newsletter articles. I answered her question but thought I should post it here in case others had the same problem. First of all, if I remember correctly, you need at least IE7. IE8 is the current version.

Highlight any thing that you want to save by holding the left mouse button and dragging the mouse.
Click on File at the top left of the page and drop down to Print Preview, click on Print Preview.
At the top of the Print Preview screen you will see a box labeled “As laid out on screen”.
Click on the little black arrow on the right hand side of the box.
You will now see “As selected on screen”. Click on that and you will see what you have selected.
You can now print or save only what you have selected.

This works any where in Internet Explorer.

Microsoft is again offering Office 2007 Ultimate edition for just $59.95. Regular price is $679.95. You must have a valid educational e-mail address. Check here for details. So, if you know of someone in education that is eligible, it is a great deal. I got it last year. It can be installed on three computers.

News from Michigan

Well greetings from Michigan. I finally remembered to look at the newsletter. We are both doing well today who knows about tomorrow. I'm planning on going to visit Dick and Nettie Clark one of these days. My grandson lives over that way and so thought I would kill two birds with one stone. Weather here was warm - now cooler - but warming up again this week. Looks like it will be warm for the holiday weekend so will be thankful for that. Many Memorial day holidays have been the pits. What forced me really to write is how do I save the article on Bounce sheets. Tried everything I know and can't just get that. It will give me 9 pages of something but that's hardly what I want. We will be going to Gatlinburg the first of July for a family reunion which is always fun. If any one is reading this and knows when the Mich Days picnic is let me know. Oh I did run into the Kipps in the store the other day they both are well. Well will let you know when I see the Clarks and will take pictures.

And that's how the fight started.....

One year, a husband decided to buy his mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a Christmas gift.
The next year, he didn't buy her a gift.
When she asked him why, he replied, "Well, you still haven't used the gift I bought you last year!"
And that's how the fight started.....
**************************************************
My wife walked into the den & asked "What's on the TV?"
I replied "Dust".
And that's how the fight started.....
 **************************************************
A woman is standing nude, looking in the bedroom mirror. She is not happy with what she sees and says to her husband, 'I feel horrible; I look old, fat and ugly. I really need you to pay me a compliment.'
The husband replies, 'Your eyesight's damn near perfect.'
And that's how the fight started.....
 **************************************************
My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary.
She said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 200 in about 3 seconds.
I bought her a scale.
And that's how the fight started.....
 **************************************************
I asked my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?'
It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation.
'Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!' she said.
So I suggested, 'How about the kitchen?'
And that's when the fight started.....

News from Prescott Valley

We have had some strange weather here this past week. Almost like Monsoon season. Cloudy warm days with some rain scattered around. It is now cooler with temps in the 70s. Scattered thunder storms are predicted through Saturday and the beginning of next week in the low 80s. We have suspended our dinners on the patio because of the cool weather. The Valley just completed fourteen straight days with temps above 100°.

It has been a wild week for the Diamondbacks. They lost two games to Atlanta then the Sunday game was rained out. The game will be made up sometime in the future. Then, Monday in Miami with the Marlins the game was called in the fourth inning due to rain. They let it go until the rain was so hard the batter could barely see the pitcher. They beat the Marlins Tuesday five to three. Wednesday they made up Mondays game with a double header. The D-backs lost the first game and won the second game in 13 innings. They played over eight hours and 22 innings Wednesday. We watched from 2p.m. till 10p.m.

The Diamondbacks have now won 16 games and lost 24 games for a .400 average. They are now twelve games out of first place in the National League West.   Yes, we still watch.
