It was necessary to change the host
for rockcomp.org. Hopefully everything will go smoothly with minimal
interruptions. It may be awhile before the Members Lounge is
operational as the new host uses Unix rather than Microsoft servers
so all programs need to be rewritten. The BBS is seldom used anymore
so this should not be a problem.
The News page has been updated to
reflect currently known speakers and activities. Check it often for
updates.
The Activities page will be updated
as classes develop.

FRANCES TERESA JOHNSON (nee
Zimmer), beloved wife of Gerry Johnson, of Picture Butte,
AB, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the St.
Michael’s Palliative Care after a courageous battle with
cancer, at the age of 63 years.
Funeral arrangements to be announced once completed.

FRANCES TERESA JOHNSON (nee Zimmer), beloved wife of
Gerry Johnson, of Picture Butte, AB, passed away on
Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the St. Michael’s Palliative
Care after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 63
years.
Besides her loving husband she is survived by her children,
Ken (Joanna) Johnson and Karen (Scott) Mueller,
grandchildren, Emily and Amanda Johnson, Dean, Drew and
Gregory Mueller. She is also survived by her mother, Isabel
Zimmer; siblings Harold (Eleanor) Zimmer, Larry (Ann)
Zimmer, Fred (Trudy) Zimmer, Terry (Dolly) Zimmer, Brian
(Deb) Zimmer, Margaret (Fred) Carbonneau, Bernie(Roger)
Felzien, Ginny (Blair) Johnson, and Brenda Martin; in-laws
Rose Lechner, Irene Zimmer, Betty Johnson, Wayne Johnson,
and Janet (John) Hansen. She was predeceased by her father,
Henry Zimmer; brothers Dave Zimmer, Carl Zimmer, and Ken
Zimmer; in-laws, Robert Johnson, Loraine Zimmer; nephews,
Edward Zimmer and Ken Zimer.
Fran was born in Castor, AB on January 9, 1948 to Henry and
Isabel Zimmer. Fran and Gerry were married on August 7,
1970. Fran was a loving, dedicated wife, mother, and
grandmother. She had a genuine love for family, friends, and
life. She was an active member of St. Catherine’s Parish and
of the Catholic Women’s League. She had a strong work ethic
and a genuine nature which helped her in her nursing career.
She has dearly enjoyed spending 10 winters in Arizona. Her
supportive and encouraging attitude will be dearly missed by
all those who knew her. She knew how to love
unconditionally, to be a real friend and to support others
without judgment.
A Prayer Service will be held at ST. CATHERINE’S CATHOLIC
CHURCH, 762 Crescent Avenue, Picture Butte, Alberta on
Friday, November 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. CATHERINE’S
CATHOLIC CHURCH, 762 Crescent Avenue, Picture Butte,
Alberta, on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with
Father Glenn Zimmer celebrant.
Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations
be made to the St. Michael’s Palliative Care, 1400-9 Avenue
South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 4V5.
